Officials Asking For Help To Identify Robbery Suspect

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Investigators are asking the public for help with identifying a suspect involved in a robbery earlier this afternoon.

The suspect is shown on surveillance video entering Star Plus Food Mart on Lee Highway around 2 in the afternoon.

He approached the clerk and pulled out a gun, demanding money from the cash register.

The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound from the scene.

The police department describes the suspect to be 5’8, 170 pounds, with dark short hair.

He was wearing an orange tee shirt, green cargo shorts and dark sneakers.
