Medicare Enrollment Begins

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Folks looking to enroll in Medicare can do so starting Saturday.

They can sign up or review their plan if already enrolled.

Insurance agents say people can work with them, or they can call or search online for a plan.

“There are a lot of options out there,” said Brianne Lee, HealthMarkets Insurance Agency. “What the agent does is do a benefits needs assessment. We look at what you need as far as prescriptions, your doctors, and we match you with a plan that works for your individual needs.”

Lee says representatives will be on-hand at area Walmarts during the Medicare enrollment period.

You can sign up or change your plan through December 7.

It goes into effect January 1.
