Chattanooga Motorcar Festival announces date for 3rd annual event

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival today announced the date for their third event next year.

The next Festival will be on the weekend of October 14-16, 2022.

The event returned this fall after a layoff in 2020 due to the pandemic.

20,000 people attended.

This year’s edition included a Concours d’Elegance, a road rallye through the Tennessee countryside, an all-new purpose-built two-mile (approx.) race track hosting vintage and historic racing through the streets of the “Scenic City,” and a Mecum Auctions event.

Founder Byron DeFoor says “Our plans for 2022 include not only the core events that we’ve established since 2019, such as the Concours d’Elegance, the rallye and racing vintage, historic and even contemporary race cars on our uniquely designed race track, but many more fan- and family-friendly activities.”

The proceeds support Alzheimer’s and neuroscience research.

“October is a perfect time to visit Chattanooga and enjoy the mild fall climate and all the exciting activities the Festival provides.”
