UPDATE: Two dead, one hospitalized after wreck in Walker County
Walker County, Ga. (WDEF) — Walker County officials released the names of the three victims involved in the vehicle crash last night in Villanow.
51-year-old Christopher Rowles and 5-year-old Blake Hunt died after their minivan hit a tree.
10-year-old Brandon Hunt had surgery and is still in critical condition at Erlanger Hospital.
Rowles was running to the hardware store with the children at the time.
Walker County, Ga. (WDEF) — A 51-year-old adult male and a 5-year-old child were killed in a crash Saturday afternoon when their Chevy minivan hit a tree.
Georgia State Patrol say another 10-year-old child was transported to the hospital and is in serious condition.
The driver was thrown 6 feet from the vehicle and officials say only one child was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Officials say no skid marks were seen on the road, and a cooler with open alcoholic beverages was found in the back of the mini van.
The accident is still under investigation.
