Chad Grabowski Hopes to ‘Restore the Roar’ at Red Bank

Red Bank, TN-(WDEF) Red Bank has a new coach and a new slogan this year, which they hope will lead to some old winning ways.
Head coach Chad Grabowski left the sunshine state of Florida for the opportunity to make the Lions a winner again.

When Chad Grabowski wanted to move from Florida to get closer to family in Atlanta, he felt Red Bank was the perfect fit.
"The tradition of Red Bank. They have a strong tradition, as far as winning, as far as playoffs, winning state championships, and getting kids to college."
The battle cry for the Lions this season is ‘Restore the Roar’.
Said Grabowski,"One of my senior linemen. That was his senior project. He had come up with that to do his senior project. Restoring the roar here. Getting back to where we were."
Red Bank has not enjoyed a winning season the last two years, and their defense gave up forty or more points four times in 2013.
Said linebacker Courtney Stamper,"Because last year teams were putting up points on us like crazy. This year, we are trying to come out strong and just stop people from scoring."
Added Grabowski,"It has been down the last couple of years and getting these kids to where when something bad happens, they will not fold or fold it in."
Music and squirt guns are apart of the Lions workouts.
All to try and improve the move or groove and concentration.
Said Grabowski,"One of the colleges does that, (squirt guns) so we saw that. Just trying to change it up for the kids. Have music playing also during practice. It’s something that Seattle does. It’s something some of the colleges do. Just to play music. Just to have more of an atmosphere where these kids can enjoy practice."
(Song-"Turn Down the What" blaring over the speakers)
Opponents may hope the Lions turn down the Stamper.
Grabowski plans to get the most of the 6’4, 255-pound athlete, who is drawing college interest.
Said Grabowski,"He’s our outside linebacker, so he has a lot of free reign. On offense we put him at running back and tight end. A bunch of different places on offense.  He’s kind of one of our guys for as big as he is, he’s very skilled."
