Heritage football expects big things as they return 18 seniors
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF)- “June stuff is over in July feels like the official start of football so it’s good to be out here and ready to go,” said Coach EJ Slaughter.
The Heritage Generals are returning 18 seniors this season.
“Probably the best thing is there’s so much cognitive carryover from the previous year we’re way ahead of anything we’ve been able to do install wise,” said Slaughter.
One of those Seniors is QB Kaden Swope.
“He understands what we’re doing. He’s a competitor. He’s a tough kid so when you get someone like that everyone tends to follow that lead the quarterback position. It’s just good to have somebody that sets the toughness or a team. He does that, he’s a good player for us. So we’re expecting a lot from him this year,” said Slaughter.
Coach Slaughter feels there are seasons with in the season so it’s import to not peak to earlier.
