Tennessee Vols comes into SEC media day ready for another offensive attack

ATLANTA, Georgia (WDEF)-Head Coach Josh Heupal and quarterback Hendon Hooker are both back for another season and with the bond between Hooker and the skilled positions that air attack should only improve this season.

“I wouldn’t say trying to learn, more of trying to perfect. Honestly I feel like progressing in my game I’ll never be perfect. Always be room to improve and I’ll never go a day without trying to improve my game,” said Hooker.

Heupal is entering his second year as Head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. As he continues to build the culture he expects Tennessee to improve from year one to year two on and off the field.

“It’s your meals, it’s your training room, it’s class. How are you doing off the field show ups with what you’re doing on the field too. Wins, losses, I don’t know, we have high expectations for the season we’re gonna have the best brotherhood in college football. Continuing to build a culture each and every week,” said Heupal.

Expectations might be not be any higher than for Hooker who comes in to the season as one of the top QB in the country.

“I’m excited to play ball. That’s what I love to do it’s my happy place. Whenever I’m on the field I take it and I run with it because it’s literally what I do, it’s my passion. Anytime around my teammates and I’m in the facility it’s a blessing,” said Hooker.

With senior leaders like Hooker and receiver Cedric Tillman they are able to help take their teammates to another level.

“Trying to lead my team is my ultimate goal I’m trying to motivate them on and off the field so just having a positive attitude and bringing joy to the field day in and day out,” said Hooker.

“Other receivers on the field they’re taking that same approach. Whether it’s working on their hands or route running. All I wanna see from my teammates especially receivers is competing working hard and representing that T well,” said Tillman.
