Local Tennessee House primary results
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) We had three contested Tennessee House primaries up for grabs.
In District 28, representing Downtown Chattanooga to Harrison, Yusuf Hakeem continues his political comeback by winning a hotly contested Democratic Primary.
He finished with 38% of the vote.
Hakeem will face Republican Lemon Williams, Jr. in the November election.

Lawrence narrowly defeated David Jones in the primary.
This is the seat where Tennessee Democrats went to court to challenge Smith’s place on the ballot, and lost.
