Aid a Veteran holds music festival in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — An Aid a Veteran Vet Stock One festival brings in music acts to Cleveland, all for a good cause.

It’s a day long festival put on to help local veterans.

A total of ten bands were slated to preform.

Proceeds from the event will go to Aid-a-Veteran.

They’re a local non-profit that’s been around for about five years. The group provides assistance for veterans.

“We receive donations from the public, from good folks, that donate to us and in turn we help – you know – veterans that have fallen on hard times. We help with things like utility bills, their rent – we’ve done minor car repairs, had ramps built, installed window unit air conditioners,” says Shane Hutcheson, the chief operating officer of Aid-a-Veteran.

Hutcheson says the hope is to have festivals like this a couple times every year.
