Alabama man accused of running a drug operation from Motel 6

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – The Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit began an investigation into alleged drug activity at the Motel 6 after receiving numerous complaints from concerned citizens.

A search warrant was executed Friday after developing Brett Marvel as a suspect for the distribution of Methamphetamine.

Members of the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit, Anti-Crime Unit, and Special Response Unit (SWAT) searched the hotel room and located a quantity of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a large amount of U.S. currency, and a surveillance camera system was located.

Marvel was arrested and charged with distribution, possession with intent to distribute, possession of Marijuana, resisting arrest and possession paraphernalia.
