Alleged hazing investigation at Grundy County High School

UPDATE: Sheriff and School system will release new information on the hazing case Thursday afternoon. But Director of Schools Jessie Kinsey tells the Grundy County Herald that, based on new information today, they are suspending Grundy Co. High football coach Casey Tate.

GRUNDY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation surrounding an alleged hazing event that
occurred this morning.

The alleged hazing was reported to have happened in the football field house at Grundy County High School.

Investigators spent the afternoon interviewing students, teachers and parents to determine what happened.

Sheriff Clint Shrum confirms that criminal charges could result from the incident.

New details will be released as soon as they become available.
