Alvin Kamara comes to Chattanooga bearing gifts
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara is bringing his camp and generosity to the Scenic City Saturday.
The former Vols star and current New Orleans Saint hosted about 200 kids for some off-season practice.
Then, he chose 20 of the hardest workers from that camp and treated them to a shopping spree at Academy Sports.
Each kid had $100 to spend to get them ready for football season. Some got shoes, others smaller equipment. One even got a nerf gun.
And AK said he definitely would’ve taken advantage of a shopping spree when he was younger.
“Man, I would’ve went wild. I would’ve been that bad little kid that got over the limit, trying to get everything. But it’s cool. Just getting some of the guys that worked hard today at camp, some things they want,” Kamara said.
AK has two other camps on his schedule this summer. Up next, Rocky Top itself.
