American Legion motorcyclists ride through Chattanooga to support military kids

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – It took a while Wednesday morning for hundreds of motorcycles to make their way up Ringgold Road from I-75 to the American Legion Post.

Most drivers waved them through as legion members and supporters made a stop between Atlanta and Nashville.

They were part of the annual American Legion Legacy scholarship program.

The final destination is Cincinnati.

That’s where the riders will hand over donations collected by their posts for that scholarship program.

Chattanooga’s Post 95 added contributions.

The scholarships are for the children of disabled veterans..and those who died while on active duty.
