Angel Tree presents handed out and our digital red kettle QR code

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – This was the second and final day people could pick up their angel tree gifts.

With more than 13 hundred families being served, nearly 4,000 kids will have gifts under the tree this year.

This annual event is special not only for the recipients, but for the volunteers, as well.

Major Chiffonia Smith says “It is just words can’t explain it the privilege that we get to do this it’s just amazing And to know that’s so many children on Christmas morning will have a Christmas thanks for all of our partners.”

If yo were not able to make it to a Salvation Army Kettle in person this year, you still can donate online.

Go go News 12 Now’s digital red kettle.

Scan the QR code on your phone.

It will take you to the website where you can donate.

Our goal is to raise at lease $1,000 for the Salvation Army programs, year round.
