Another Student Arrested with Gun Charges at Cleveland Middle School
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A stolen firearm was recovered from the home of a Cleveland Middle School student, according to the Cleveland Police Department. This information comes just one day after another Cleveland Middle School student was arrested for bringing a firearm onto school property.
Both students were arrested and face charges.
The police department says this new information comes from an active investigation of the incident that occurred on Thursday.
Cleveland police say they do not believe this second firearm was brought to the school. However, the gun had been reported as stolen.
This student is being charged with possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of a weapon.
In an update to Thursday’s incident, police say the first student arrested has received additional charges.
Those include conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. Cleveland police say additional charges could be pending as the investigation continues.
