Athens biker club shootout

ATHENS, TN (WDEF-TV) Four men now face Attempted First Degree Murder after a shootout in Athens, TN, last night.

Officers responded to a large fight at Applebee’s between members of the Widowmakers/Outlaw Biker Club and the Heathens/Nomad Biker Club.

Later, officers were called to shots being fired and a male with a gunshot wound at the Kangaroo Convenience store. On arrival, Athens Police found out that the victims, the Outlaws, has pulled into the station and immediately afterward a Chevy Tahoe with members of the Heathens pulled in and began firing shots at the victims.

Members of the Outlaws returned fire.

Two people, Patrick Petty and Steven Kirkland suffered from gunshot wounds.

Four members of the Heathens, Jarod Grant, Robert Wood, Thomas Ingle Jr., and Jerry Henry were caught and are now sitting in McMinn County Jail facing charges of Attempted First Degree Murder.
