Athens home invasion leads to arrest, police searching for second suspect

ATHENS, Tennessee(WDEF) – One home invasion suspect is in custody while another is on the loose.

Joseph Kibodeaux, 22, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery after police say he and another man robbed a pregnant woman at gunpoint inside her apartment.

It happened at the Knoxville Avenue Apartment complex.

According to the police report, the two men knock on the victims doors and when she went to open it, they pushed their way into her apartment.

One of the men reportedly held a gun to her head and ordered the woman to the floor.

The two men reportedly went through the apartment searching for money and other valuable items which they eventually took.

When they left , the woman was able to give police a good description of the two men.

Kibodeax was arrested on Levecks Street where he was wearing the same clothes that were described by the victim.

Further investigation revealed the identity of the second suspect. He’s been identified as Andra Canidate.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and a bail has already been set at $30,000.
