Baylor wins in region play over Ensworth

(WDEF) – After winning their first two games of the year by a combined score of 82-7, Baylor was voted the top team in the Division two classification this week.

But the Red Raiders new number one ranking would be put to the test tonight, as they opened region play against Ensworth.

Baylor fans a little anxious Red Raiders up 7 – 0.

But, the Tigers are threatening just seconds before the half. Jaylon Kings pass is tipped and Cole Johnson gets the interception for Baylor.

Red Raiders first possession of the 3rd, Calvin Watson, fumbles; Rodney Ownes recovers for Ensworth.

Then the Tigers are in business with great field position. Ensworth cashes in from the 2.

They give it to Jarquis Hendricks – he scores to tie the game at 7.

Later in the quarter, fourth and short for Baylor. From the Tigers 33, Lorenzo White rolls out and hits Emmanuel Williams and he’s gonna take it in for the touchdown. Red Raiders go up 14 – 7.

Baylor gets the victory 17 – 7 over Ensworth.
