Kay brings a decade of experience in broadcast journalism spent covering her hometown and the surrounding Tennessee Valley. Born and raised in the Tennessee Valley, she graduated from Red Bank High School and then attended UTC. There she anchored the UTC Mocs News and graduated with a degree in communications.

 

“My love of broadcast journalism began in college. I love storytelling. This is my hometown, and I want to make a difference in this community. I hope to deliver accurate and compassionate news each day. I want each viewer to be informed and prepared with what they need to know.”

 

Prior to joining News 12, Kay worked in public relations, appeared in commercials, and worked in broadcasting elsewhere in Chattanooga. During her journalism career, Kay has covered the April 2011 tornadoes, numerous elections and trials, and included investigative reporting. She is married To Travis Blevins.
