UPDATE: Body Found In Marion County
BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)- Authorities are trying to piece together information about a body found floating in the Tennessee River earlier this afternoon.
As of now, Marion County officials say they have no leads, because the investigation is still in the early stages.
According to them, the man’s body was discovered floating in the water just after two o’clock, by a group of Bradley County residents who were fishing near the Nickajack Dam.
The group called 911, and when officers arrived they dragged the body to shore.
There’s no telling exactly how long he was in the water, but officials with the department told me he couldn’t have been out there for very long.
No identification was found on the body, and investigators have absolutely no idea where he might have come from.
