Bradley Shooting victim was trying to protect his niece in a domestic fight
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) The Bradley County Sheriff’s Department has released more information on the deadly shooting Sunday morning.
Investigators say it started as a domestic dispute at a home on Bates Pike Southeast around 4 AM.
Ashley Wilson says he got into a fight with her fiance, Matthew Wolfcale. They lived together with their one year old child.
She called her uncle, Jesse Johnson to help her.
Johnson and Wolfcale then began fighting.
Their confrontation continued into another room, where Wolfcale had a gun stored in a closet.
Wolfcale told police he pulled his Taurus 9mm pistol and fired it.
He would later tell an officer “I f’d up that, I’m going to get so much time, but it was self defense.”
Deputies say Johnson was shot multiple times.
Wolfcale turned his gun over to another relative.
The Sheriff’s Office has charged him with second degree murder.
