Brantley Gilbert talks Chattanooga Unite: A Tribute on the River

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga’s own Samuel L. Jackson announces plans to help the families of the July 16th terror attack by emceeing a free concert on the 2-month anniversary.
Chattanooga Unite: A Tribute on the River will happen Wednesday September 16th.
Country star Brantley Gilbert will headline the show after an entire day of memorials starting with the Armed Forces parade at 2:00pm.
The concert will happen at Ross’s landing on the Riverbend Coca-Cola stage.
Gilbert said, "Right off the bat we knew we wanted to do something. And, we didn’t know what yet, started small and, the more we thought about it, it was, you know like I said we just thought the community and the families needed a little more of a grand gesture. So, we pulled together all the, all our folks and started making calls and we want to try to have some special guests, but with the last minute notice we don’t know exactly who is going to be able to be there and make it."
Chip Baker with Friends of the Festival tells us everything for the concert will be donated, including the fireworks show scheduled to take place once the concert is finished.
