Military Aircraft makes emergency landing at Chattanooga Airport

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A military aircraft had to make an emergency landing at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Monday after reportedly experiencing issues with the landing gear.

Reports coming in state that a warning light in the cockpit spurred the emergency landing.

The crew of the military aircraft circled the Chattanooga Airport for twenty minutes in an attempt to burn off excess fuel in the event of a harsh landing.

The plane is reported to have made a safe and successful landing and is being inspected.
