Bus driver Michael Ledbetter released on bond

DAYTON, Tennessee (WDEF) – A Rhea County school bus driver who was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence with dozens of students on board, is out on bond.

Students started contacting their parents yesterday morning, saying the bus was swerving and they believed the driver was drunk.

Michael Ledbetter was charged with D-U-I with child under 18, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony reckless endangerment .

He was released Thursday morning on a $10,000 bond set by a sessions court judge.
