Video released of Congressional candidate convicted of DUI

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Democratic congressional candidate who was found guilty this week of D-U-I is in the Whitfield county jail today awaiting a sentencing hearing.

In a 2 hour video and related audio recordings, Steven Lamar Foster’s arrest was presented to the jury that convicted him after deliberating for 15 minutes.

The video shows Foster at times speaking to the officers in Spanish and blaming Gulf War Syndrome on the use of uranium in weapons in the First Gulf War , and other statements.

Foster is running against Republican incumbent Tom Graves for the 14th Congressional District seat.

Foster was arrested for DUI, a misdemeanor, by the Dalton Police Department on Sept. 23, 2017.
