Carjacking Arrest on Highway 58

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police arrest a suspect after a pursuit from a carjacking at a construction site on Highway 58.

Police received a call from a construction worker at 1:36 this morning that one of their trucks had been taken by force.

The victim was sitting in his truck when police say the suspect Dustin Prichett opened the door and pulled him out.

Prichett fled in the victim’s truck in which Chattanooga Police, Collegedale Police, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department engaged in a pursuit.

Law enforcement deployed stop sticks that ended the pursuit near the Ooltewah exit on I-75. northbound.

Police arrested, the suspect Prichett on various charges including DUI.
