Carry the Load honors fallen military members

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A national non-profit organization that travels across the county honoring and celebrating our nation’s heroes, made its way to the Chattanooga National cemetery this afternoon.

The group known as “Carry the Load” was created by two former Navy Seals.

It’s made up of veterans and first responders, who placed a memorial plaque at the cemetery to honor the sacrifices made by military vets.

They all carry with them dog tags of fallen heroes.

“I carry fourteen fallen security forces members that lost their lives since the global war on terror, I carry 180 additional who, security forces members that have passed since our inception as a career field in the Air Force, since we were established.”

“Carry The Load” is part of The National Relay.

They’re one of three groups walking and biking to Dallas by Memorial day.
