Catalytic converter cut off a church van near Fort Payne

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect they say stole a catalytic converter off a church van.

It happened early Wednesday morning, between 5-6 AM, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church at the foot of Sand Mountain.

Cameras show two people in a Maroon Ford F-150 pulled into the the chruch and took the converter off of a church transport van.

The pickup seems to have driven away while two men cut it lose, then came back to pick them up.
