Central Purple Pounders Football Team Lifts the Spirits of Cancer Patient

Even though the Central football team lost their road playoff game to Greeneville last Friday, the players and coaches still felt like winners. When they arrived in Greeneville, they went to visit Toni Weems, who has a rare form of cancer.
Head coach Cortney Braswell and another coach bought four dozen roses, which the players gave her, along with a card and a signed jersey.
Weems is the mother of Red Bank assistant Charles Weems.
Charles is good friends with Cortney Braswell.
Toni Weems wanted to see Central play in person in Greeneville, and when she wasn’t able to attend the game, the Central team decided to visit her to lift her spirits.
