CFC Move Into First Place After Beating Inter Nashville FC 1-0

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The CFC celebrated the Fourth of July with a 1-0 win over Inter Nashville FC on Wednesday at Fort Finley. Chattanooga moves into first place in the league standings after New Orleans lost 2-0 to Atlanta. The CFC and Nashville played for about two minutes before a weather delay interrupted the match. When play resumed, neither team scored in the first half. Felipe Oliveira broke the stalemate in the second half when he got around the defender and put one past the keeper for the goal. Shortly after Oliveira’s goal, the match was delayed once again by weather. When play resumed, the CFC held on for the 1-0 win. Chattanooga plays at Georgia on Friday before closing out the regular season on Sunday at Atlanta.
