Chattanooga City Council Ice Bucket Challenge

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) One day after Chattanooga’s Mayor took the ice bucket challenge, the city council did it as well.

The challenge raises money and awareness for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Chattanooga Firefighters helped the council with the challenge.

Council members say it was worth the cold.

Council Member Carol Berz says, "All of us know someone who unfortunately has this sort of affliction. Today we honored Jerry Mitchell’s brother."

Council Member Moses Freeman says, "We wear suits on a general basis, and if you gonna do it, you ought to do it in your normal wear and atire; as a city council person. So we kinda wore the suit."
