Chattanooga City Council Members take final vote, approve community oversight board

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga City Council Members gave their OK for the creation of a community oversight board.

The final reading of the Police Advisory and Review Committee ordinance passed unanimously at the council meeting Tuesday tonight.

Based on the ordinance, the committee’s job is to review citizen complaints and make recommendations to the Police Chief, Mayor, and City Council Members.
