Chattanooga Fire Department Captain charged with domestic assault

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A captain with the Chattanooga Fire Department has been put on leave after being arrested Tuesday evening.

Captain Kelvin Strickland was charged with domestic assault.

He is a 17 year veteran of the department and worked in the training division.

The Fire Chief has placed him on leave without pay.

And he will remain there until his case is resolved in court.
