UPDATED: Chattanooga Firefighters Battle Early Morning Blaze at Republic Services

Chattanooga (WDEF) Chattanooga firefighters worked quickly to put out a blaze early this morning at Republic Services.

The fire broke out at the building on East 38th Street around 12:15am.

Flames could be seen coming from one side of the building when the first firefighters arrived. That prompted the call for an additional six-fire companies to respond.

It took them about 30-minutes to get the blaze under control.

Although firefighters managed the save the building, the fire did cause substantial damage… But resulted in no injuries.

Republic Services provides trash and recycling services in Chattanooga and Hamilton County.
