Chattanooga man accused of exposing himself to children near a rec center

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – A man with a page long criminal rap sheet is now facing charges of indecent exposure and solicitation of a minor.

Charles Hicks, 50, of Chattanooga was booked into the Hamilton County jail over night after police claim he exposed himself to two 11-year old children.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 12, police were called to the 1800  block of Citico Avenue to investigate a report of indecent exposure.

When police arrived, two 11-year old children said Hicks exposed himself at the Carver Recreation Center.  According to statements to police, the children were riding their skateboards when Hicks approached them, pulled out his penis in front of them and asked the children to perform a sex act.

A judge set his bond at $9000 and his next court date is May 30th.

Hicks is no stranger to the Hamilton County Court system. Court records show that Hicks has multiple convictions for narcotics, theft , and robbery.
