Chattanooga man arrested for shooting someone during a fight

The police department have not yet filed charges; plan to do so will come this week

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Late Sunday morning, Chattanooga Police took 39-year-old Anthony Lively into custody after officers say he shot someone during a fight.

According to Assistant Police Chief Jerri Sutton, officers responded to a call right before 11 this morning in the seven hundred block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Officers on the scene tell News 12 Lively allegedly shot the suspect in the middle of the street, but the victim only suffered minor injuries.

Lively was taken into custody at the scene, and emergency workers gave aid to the victim until he was transported to a hospital.

Police have not given a full accounting of any charges against Lively, but plan to do so sometime this week.
