Chattanooga Police Academy 2014-1 Celebrates Graduation Night

(WDEF) 22 weeks of training paid off Thursday night for more than two dozen brand new Chattanooga police officers.
     It marked graduation night for the Police Academy 2014 class.
     The ceremony featured a video detailing the steps the cadets went through, from experiencing pepper spray to hazardous driving training and even a grueling obstacle course.
     Jacob Lee was the Police Academy Class President.  He spoke at Thursday night’s ceremony. He said, "The last 22 weeks has been an unforgettable experience and it was truly spent with a great group of guys.  I’m proud to call you all my brothers and I’m proud to see the officers you have and will become in the future.  I do challenge you to hold yourself to a higher standard to be the best police officer you can be."
     The ceremony took place at the Calvary Chapel on South Broad Street.
