CPD identify victim of fatal shooting at Renaissance Park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have identified the person fatally shot on Sunday at Renaissance Park.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Kathy Hardy.

Next of kin has been notified.


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at 150 River St in Renaissance Park early Sunday morning.

Police received a report around 12:30 AM that someone had been shot along the riverfront downtown.

Police, with assistance from the fire department, searched by land and water for an extended period of time.

The victim was located on a pier in Renaissance Park, and had succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s name will be withheld until next of kin are notified.

Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating the incident.
