Chattanooga Police look for vehicle that hit a 3 year old

Chattanooga Police release more information on the little girl struck by an SUV this afternoon in East Chattanooga. A woman parked her vehicle and the child got out and walked around the back of the vehicle.

But the SUV, in the wrong lane, hit her.

Police say the three year old was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle fled the scene even though several people tried to stop him.

It was last seen traveling south on Dodson Avenue.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.


CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are looking for a suspect vehicle in a hit and run involving a three year old.

The child was hit Wednesday on Milne Street in East Chattanooga.

Police say the suspect driver is a black male in his 20s with shoulder length braids.

He was driving a silver SUV with a bike attachment and possible damage to the hood.
