Chattanooga Police sergeant resigns in face of investigation

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Sergeant Peter Turk has resigned from the Chattanooga Police Department.

He faces a TBI criminal investigation and a CPD internal affair investigation after being arrested in a solicitation of prostitution sting.

Turk has been on administrative leave since his arrest last Thursday.

The resignation was effective on Tuesday.
