Chattanooga Public Works Update

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Chattanooga Public Works crews are all out Wednesday night working on treating city streets for snow and ice.

There are 14 plows working in conjunction with salt and sand trucks.

They’re focusing on treating Emergency Locations including entry and exit roads for hospitals and fire stations, as well as tunnels and bridges.

They’ll also treat primary routes; which will require several rounds of treatment and focus on Secondary Routes as soon as it’s possible.

Officials urge residents to stay off the roads if possible.

If you have to go out, make sure you have an emergency kit with a blanket, flashlight and food.
