Chattanooga resumes curbside recycling and leaf pickup

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The City of Chattanooga’s curbside-recycling service resumed today.

Recycling carts should be at the curb no later than 7:00 am on your designated collection day.

Residents should not deposit any other materials besides clean recyclable waste into their city-issued recycling bins.

“Recycle collection days did not change so whenever your recycling was picked up previously we will just pick up right where we left off after the pause. We want to encourage people to only use your blue bins for recyclables. We would like to not see any waste mixed in with the recyclables.”

For more about how to find out where your residence lies in the biweekly collection schedule, visit the city’s website.

Chattanooga Public Works started collecting loose leaves over the weekend.

This is a new service offered by the city.

You can see the do’s and don’t’s on your screen.
