Chattanooga sees several road closings for holiday weekend
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Department of Transportation announced upcoming road closures for this weekend.
On Friday, Station Street will be closed from 4 p.m. until midnight. This road is between Market Street and Rossville Avenue. It is closing for Saint Patrick’s Day on Station Street.
Saint Patrick’s Day will cause some closures on Saturday as well.
Those include Patten Parkway and Lindsay Street. These will be closed Saturday at 8 a.m. until Sunday at 3 a.m. These closures are for the St. Paddy’s Party on the Parkway event.
Also closed on Saturday will be Reggie White Boulevard, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. This closure is for the National Black Market.
Los Trompos and Rock the Riverfront will cause a closure on Riverfront Parkway on Saturday as well. This road will be closed from Power Alley to Chestnut Street, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
CDOT says trucks with three or more axles are prohibited on Riverfront Parkway between MLK and Power Alley.
The department of transportation will have detours posted.
