Chattanooga’s Ryan Martin Soaking Up First Pro Fight in the Boxing Mecca of Las Vegas
On Saturday night in Las Vegas, Chattanooga boxer Ryan Martin puts his 19-0 record on the line against Francisco Rojo.
The lightweight championship bout is on the under card for the big Canelo Alverez-Gennady Golovkin main event
For Martin, it’s his first ever bout in Las Vegas, and he can’t wait to fight in the mecca for pro fights.
Said Martin:”Just being here in Vegas. Fight week. It has really lived up to what I saw on TV, and what I heard. It’s just an electrifying atmosphere here for the last three days or four days I’ve been here for all the events. It’s fun, and why not enjoy it.”
Martin went on to say,”It is a dream I have been living. All the hard work and stuff has been done. Just really enjoying the moment. I really want to soak
all of this in. This is where you want to fight as a fighter. This is where you aim to be fighting at the MGM or the T-Mobile Arena. Somewhere in Vegas in a big event. It’s always going to be electrifying. What makes it electrifying is the fans. The fans here are amazing. They really surprised me. I really have fans. People really like me. People really like to see me fight. That makes me feel really good.”
