Cherokee Co. Deputies Investigating Suspicious Death
CHEROKEE COUNTY, NC (WDEF) — Deputies in Cherokee County, North Carolina are investigating a suspicious death.
They were called to a Marble home shortly before 2 a.m., Monday, for an unknown medical problem.
When first responders arrived, they found 28-year-old Louis Raines, of Bryson City, suffering from head trauma.
He was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital where he later died.
Sheriff Derrick Palmer says they are in the early stages of the investigation.
