Chickamauga school director pleads no contest to Belk’s fraud

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Superintendent of Chickamauga Schools has been ordered to pay a bill and stay away from Belks.

Melody Day pleaded no contest in court Friday morning.

She was accused of switching price tags on clothing at the Hamilton Place department store in December.

The Judge ordered her to pay Belks $525.

He also ordered her to get counseling and not to go back to the store.

Day has been with the school system for 40 years.
