Child killed in Murray County wreck
CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – A 4-year-old child suffered fatal injuries yesterday evening following a two-vehicle crash in Murray County.
Investigators say the child’s mother, and three other children, ages 7, 5 and 1, were seriously hurt.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the mother was driving a Dodge Caravan north on Old Highway 4-11 and failed to stop at a stop sign.
The Dodge was struck by a Chevrolet van, and both vehicles left the roadway.
The Dodge then hit a utility pole.
The van’s occupants had to be airlifted to area hospitals.
The 4-year-old later died from injuries they sustained in the crash.
No names have been released.
