Ooltewah, TN (WDEF) – New Cleveland High School Coach Scott Cummings failed to pick up the win in his debut last week.

So Cummings and the Cleveland clan went chasing a victory Friday night against former region rival, East Hamilton.

Plenty of fans from both schools on hand for this game, and these teams definitely gave them something to cheer about.

East Hamilton down by 11 here, looking to get back in Quarterback Nick Woods sends a little pass to David Whiteside and lets him do the work for a nice gain.

Same drive, this time the hand off to Whiteside, and let him weave through the defense on the ground before he is just pilled on.

Woods looking to get the Cains on the board, and Skyler Davis jumps the route, and he is going coast to coast, nobody is going to catch him as he grabs the pick 6.

East Hamilton still looking for their first score.

Woods going deep and finds Jordan Gorman for a big gain after he goes out of bounds.

Woods back to work hooking up with Jeffery Coleman on a screen, and he is going to punch this one in for the 6.

East Hamilton trying to storm back, get it storm hurricane, Woods hooking up with Andrew Plumlee for a nice chunk play that set up this Woods quarterback sneak and just like that this is a whole new game.

Cleveland looking to regain control, they give this one to Keegan Jones, and he just turns on the jets.

He makes the move outside looking to break this one all the way.

The Cains force him back inside, and the ball pops lose and it’s Hurricanes ball.

Tough break for Cleveland there, but the Blue Raiders weather the storm and pull this one out 18 to 15.
