Cleveland High’s Autumn O’Bryan named Principal of the Year for East Tennessee

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Department of Education has named Cleveland High’s Autumn O’Bryan as Principal of the Year for East Tennessee.

The award was handed out Thursday in Nashville.

O’bryan has tough in Hamilton County schools and coached softball at Lee University.

But she has spent her last 13 years in the Cleveland City Schools system as Principal at the High School.

School Director Dr. Russell Dyer says “Mrs. O’Bryan is very deserving of this honor.”

“Her passion for Cleveland High School is evident in the work she does each day. It is exciting to see her honored across the State of Tennessee for making a difference at Cleveland High. Cleveland City Schools is truly home to some of the best educators in Tennessee. Today, we celebrate Mrs. O’Bryan for this outstanding achievement.”
