Cliftina Jones pleads not guilty in Orange Grove death

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – A woman charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide in the death of an Orange Grove resident pleaded not guilty this morning.

Cliftina Jones was arraigned in the Hamilton county court of Judge Don Poole.

She is accused in the death a Carrie Lee Parkey.

Staff members found his body in one of the facility’s vans back in April.

Investigators did not find any visible signs of trauma and could not rule it an unnatural death.

However, police called it suspicious and reclassified the case a homicide last month.

Jones is expected to be in court again on March 14th.
